The residence enjoys uninterrupted views of Swan Bay and its coastal setting of moonah trees, mangroves, wetlands and grasslands. It reinterprets the double-storey beach houses common in Victoria's coastal towns in the 1950s with a contemporary form: a simple rectangular plan, flat roof, decks and balconies.
Siting and layout harness natural airflow, daylight and solar gain while opening wide views across the bay. Extensive natural timber reflects the coastal environment and has weathered to complement the surrounding vegetation.
