Our Pakington Street studio designs homes, coastal houses, commercial buildings and master plans across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast.
JAM Architects has a Geelong studio at Suite 8, 400 Pakington Street, Newtown, opened in 2020. The practice designs residential, coastal, multi-residential, mixed use and commercial projects across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast, including The Mill redevelopment in Newtown.

Local studio, whole practice
Several of our directors have long lived in the Geelong region, and we had been designing houses on the Bellarine and Surf Coast for years before the studio opened. In 2020, with Geelong growing quickly, we opened our studio on Pakington Street in Newtown.
Our Geelong and Melbourne teams work together on projects, so a Geelong client has the whole practice behind their project: architects, interior designers and 3D visualisers, and the experience of large Melbourne precincts.
The clearest example is The Mill, our master plan for the Returned Soldiers and Sailors Mill in Newtown, a short walk from the studio.

Where is your Geelong studio?
Suite 8, 400 Pakington Street, Newtown VIC 3220, on Wadawarrung Country. It opened in 2020 to complement our Melbourne studio.
Which areas does the Geelong studio cover?
Geelong and its suburbs, the Bellarine Peninsula, the Surf Coast and western Victoria. Recent work includes The Mill in Newtown, coastal homes in Point Lonsdale and Fingal, and the Bellarine Chocolate Co. on Point Richards Road.
Do you design coastal homes?
Yes. Our coastal houses in Point Lonsdale and Fingal are designed for their landscape, orientation and views, with natural materials that weather well. See Residential Homes.
Can the Geelong studio handle large projects?
Yes. The Geelong and Melbourne teams work together, so Geelong clients have the whole practice behind them. The Mill, a 3-hectare mixed-use master plan in Newtown, is a Geelong-led project.
